Saturday, 7 August 1784 (Bath Chronicle) Benjamin Griffiths indicted for breaking into the dwelling house of Samuel Dixon in the parish of Kintbury on 5th April 1784; and stealing therefrom a gun (valued at ?7) and 2 pistols (valued at ?5). He was indicted also with setting fire to Samuel Dixon?s house on 7th April.
